Toporọv, Wladimir Nikolajewitsch, russischer Slawist, * 5. 7. 1928; bedeutender Vertreter der Moskauer semiotischen Schule; Arbeiten zur Sprachwissenschaft der slawischen, baltischen, altindischen und altiranischen Sprachen, zur Kultursemiotik, Mythologie, Folklore und Literaturwissenschaft.
 
Werke: Lokativ v slavjanskich jazykach (1961); Slavjanskie jazykovye modelirujuščie semiotičeskie sistemy (1965, mit V. V. Ivanov); Issledovanija v oblasti slavjanskich (1974, mit demselben); Prusskij jazyk.
